Thank you, Viviana: Students always present their Student ID card at our conferences. Teachers ( as you will soon see in our registration form) fill out a form with employment information. In any case, our attendees, just as yourself, are committed professionals doing their best to make a difference and both Teachers and Students (especially those in their graduating process) are so very much welcome! The more, the merrier!

CAN I STILL SEND AN ABSTRACT FOR PRESENTATION? MY TOPIC: Use of Corrective Fedback techniques by 7th Region professors
Yes, of course you can. Proposal deadline is due August 22nd.
I want to know if it is an obligation to prepare a presentation in order to attent this activity, I mean, I don’t know if the presentation is only a requirement or we have to be ready to expose what we prepared in front of others. I’m sorry about not beeing clear about that.it ‘s the first time I’m invited to this activity and I really want to go but, I’m not sure about how to procedure.

We’ve just emailed our former presenters, attendees to previous conferences inviting them to present. You probably got that email. If you wish to present GREAT! but it attendees (those not presenting) are key participants by attending and becoming part of the discussions at the conference. In short: NO, it is not a pre-requisite to submit a proposal to attend the conference. Stay tuned for our attendees registration online.

Hello, My name is MAria Celeste Grimau and I am part of ARTESOL board. I would love to make a presentation in this Convention. I have already presented something in the Convention in Santiago two years ago. I am the head of an institute in Bariloche and I would love to attend the Convention with 3 or 4 more teachers from my school. At the moment we are going through a very difficult situation due to the volcano ashes and it is very difficult for us to afford all the travel expenses plus the accomodation in Valdivia plus the Convention fee. Is there any possibilities we can get a special fee as a group or any other help so we can all attend?

I am sending this mail again because I will have some help from my school and they ask me for results. Like I posted before I have already submitted a paper for a presentation and I need to know if my presentation has been accepted. As I want to attend and as I believe payments are different weather I present an experience or if I simply attend my employer needs the

Dear Patricia, call for proposals is due August 22nd. The due date to announce papers accepted is not established yet, but estimate approximately 2 weeks from Aug 22nd, since reviewers will be busy reading & agreeing on everyone’s proposals. The reviewing process is not on a “first come, first serve” basis as you can understand. It actually starts upon the due date for proposals.

There’s no definite schedule yet, but it’ll be staring on Friday 30th some time around 4pm and closing on Sunday approximately at 2pm.

I´m a student from The University of Biobio in Chillan of the english teaching programme, there´s a group of students whose really interested in assisting to the conference, but we´re worried about accomodation, we´re far away and we would be happy to know if there is some other way to spend the night during the onference. Hello! My friends and I tried to make the deposit every single day last week while the extended early bird’s fee lasted, but it kept saying the account couldn’t receive more money, so we gave up. We really want to attend the conference. We’re fifth-year students at universidad del bio-bio, Chillán. We hope there’s solution to this problem so we can still pay $10.000, since it wasn’t our fault the bank didn’t receive our money. I hope you can reply soon.

Regardless your way of payment, we strongly advice you to register online before coming to the conference. This will save you time while at the door.

when you filled out the proposal you requested equipment, so that is considered. Still, it’s always good to have a back up plan. Again, the equipment you requested will be there for you.
